Teatime with Sunsilk
Bet All of you have seen the recent advertisements for the new range of hair care products from Sunsilk (ze yellow color is a new edition to the sunsilk family :D)
Earlier this month was invited with a few other bloggers to Sunsilk's teatime gathering @ Croisette Café, Bangsar in conjunction of two of their recently launched products.
Before the event started, took some opportunity to snap some pictures of their new products that were on display around the cafe, which was the Nourishing Soft and Smooth (the digi color family aka Yellow) and Smooth and Manageable (The Pink color range, this product has been in the market for quite some time but now with a new look and improved ingredients) which are now infused with the miracle blend of five natural oils. The key mastermind behind this 2 products are hair experts, Thomas Taw and Yuko Yamashita.
Do anyone of you experience bad case of dry hair regardless of all the "hair remedies" you have tried but none really worked? First of all, you might wanna look back on how it all started :-P
Here are a few factors that you might want to consider before splurging a ton for just your hair care regime >.<
There are three main causes of dry hair:
Damage hair is mainly caused by external environment factors such as:
The Nourishing Soft & Smooth variant aims to combat dry hair by keeping your mane well-nourished for a longer period of time and creating a protective barrier through a blend of five natural oils.
- Genetics
- Aging
- Poor Diet
Damage hair is mainly caused by external environment factors such as:
- Physical Damage
- Heat Damage
- Chemical Damage (Aha! this is what i have thanks to the bleaching and hair dye =.=)
- Sun Damage
- Water Damage (chlorine especially, for those who are frequent swimmers)
Now let's look deeper into what exactly is the function of the 5 oils : -
- Moroccan Argan Oil- Or ‘liquid gold’, is rich in anti-oxidants and said to contain twice as much vitamin E as olive oil – and leaves a lovely light feeling. The trees that produce it are so precious they’re protected by the United Nations.
- Camellia Oil - The darling of the beauty industry for enhancing hair shine, it’s sourced from wild Camellia flowers in China and Japan. It was famous among ladies of the Imperial Court for its ability to revitalize hair with a deep glow
- Almond Oil - Packed with lipid and vitamin E, it nourishes the hair and gives increased elasticity. Also moisturizes the scalp and prevents hair becoming dry and brittle
- Babassu Oil - The oil of the Brazilian Babassu palm moisturizes both scalp and hair for a soft look and weightless feel. It’s a natural conditioner – local women love it because it’s absorbed into the hair and leaves no residue
- Coconut Oil - Traditionally used to repair damage to skin and hair. Contains a compound called lauric acid – it provides nourishment for hair while creating a weightless protective barrier that retains moisture and gives long-lasting suppleness

Here is my lunch ...before..................................I went crazy over desserts oTL #epicfail
List of oils you can tryout and a jar of sugar
First prepare an empty jar with a tight lid (prevent air from going in or i'll make your scrub texture runny/melted) for storage best kept in fridge and away from direct sunlight :-)
With every 2 big scoops of sugar (any kind would do) add in 3 small spoons of oils (any of your choice)
My choice of oils were Camellia and Almond ♥
Yay! Successful attempt on homemade scrub :D
Sorry for being vain :-P
Introducing , Voon Wei a local fashion stylist who was there to teach us girls (yes, we do have our fashion faux pas every once in a while :-P) on how to pick clothes that compliments our hairstyle! That is something i really need, since I've been changing hair color and length alot this year it's been quite difficult for me to revamp my wardrobe every single time just to suit my hairstyle =_= #sien
Tiramisu cake that was about nearly 6 inches tall (not kidding) glazed with chewy nuts and caramel bits ohlalala~ 〜( ̄▽ ̄〜)

Look at the size of that slice of Tiramisu Cake....believe it or not I managed to finish eating the whole thing when Tammy & Fatin had to scare one slice because it was too big /glutton me *hides in corner* I totally have a huge weakness when it comes to sweet stuff D: #diefatme #sigh
