17th Asia Pacific Hair & Makeup Olympics 2013 (APHCA)

The last day of the Beauty Expo was one of the most anticipated activities of the whole event, it was The 17th Asia Pacific Hair & Makeup Olympics 2013 (APHCA) where countries from different regions all over Asia gather to compete.

Imagine the usual sports olympics but this is in beauty style lol.

Seen as a vast growth opportunity among hairstylist and make-up artist to displayed their skills and talents to be judged by industry experts.

This competition has made it's mark on the annual international beauty calendar and also having Malaysia Major Events, a division of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB) and agency under the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, InterExpo and APHCA as a main support of this successful event. 

  

Many contestants from different regions were present during the APHCA competition were looking forward  to a feisty and healthy competition to win the experts approval and winning title such as:-

• China
• Indonesia
• Japan
• Korea
• Malaysia
• Mongolia
• Philippines
• Singapore
• Sri Lanka
• Taiwan
• Thailand

Bridal Hair Competition

Most amazing of them all is the Fantasy Make Up competition where every make up artist and hairstylist gave in their all to create something only our imagination can imagine but find impossible to create.

Contestants will be put to test through eight (8) intense round of competition throughout  the 7th October, from 10am till 6pm. The 8 rounds of competition consist of the following:

1. Ladies Designer Hair Cut
2. Men’s Avant-Garde Hair Cut
3. Evening Elegant Hair Cut
4. Bridal Hair
5. Ladies Designer Make-Up
6. Evening Elegant Make-Up
7. Bridal Make-Up
8. Fantasy Make-Up

Over 90 judges from the region were present to evaluate this intense competition of  over 300 contestants. Can't imagine the pressure @_@
