Hanami 花見 by Daisuke Salon
Never once i imagined myself to carry a full head of blonde hair nor pink even though i have my hair share of pulling of these colors effortlessly during my cosplays *pats self on the back*
Even so the idea of having bright colors the woes that comes with it are usually the root touch ups that appear after 2-3 weeks, which means it's time for another visit to the salon.
My stylist (Amanda) wanted something that could last me till the end of Chinese new year as some of them would be away for the celebration after this like Daisuke-san & his wife, Ai who are going back to Japan! Hope both of you have a great trip there, and take tons of nice photos okay? :)
In case you guys aren't aware both of them are photography enthusiast and they are pretty good at it too!
It actually started when i was feeling super down about 3 weeks ago due to a personal problem that made me just want to bury myself under my blankets, cry my eyes out and not go out at all but i didn promised to meet my stylist around that week so i had to drag my ass out from the sofa shower (after not showering for a week, gross i know) and get myself to the salon. Sorry for being late for my appointment :(
From bright pink, it toned down over the span of 2-3 weeks before finally adding in a tint of blue (last photo).
Guess the nonstop crying and sleepless nights showed up on my face and gotta admit i look like shit, really. So Amanda suggested why not we go for a happier color like pink, it honestly made me cringe at the thought of it haha! Like i said, never in my life i thought it was even possible for me to pull off this shade on a daily basis with light make up and my everyday haggard looking face.
But obviously i was wrong in fact i'm now loving every moment of it, also it gives me the motivation to dress nicely and put on make up before i head out rather my my lazy usual self.
Previously it was close to neon pink but after my impromptu 2nd visit (was supposed to be accompanying a friend but i ended up on the chair as well lol) Daisuke-san decided to tone it down a little mixing with a bit of blue wash, so now it has some hues of lilac in it too thanks to the blue & pink combination!

I do get questions like how i manage to maintain my hair so smooth despite bleaching so many times even by random strangers while doing my grocery shopping lol so today i am going to reveal my secret to maintaining light colored hair and smoothness!
Tadaaaaaaaaaaaaaa~ After Ultrasonic treatment, it's fresh, clean & fluffy!
Wash Lesser and Don't skimp on Treatments!
- Try not to wash hair too frequently, if possible once every 2-3 days compare to your usual everyday wash routine. This definitely helps alot when it comes to light colored hair, after 3 weeks my pink hair is still going strong aside from the roots starting to show
- Ultrasonic Hair treatment (RM180+)- One of the best treatment services provided by Daisuke Salon for a healthy smooth hair and it only takes about an hour to get it done. Think the only reason why my hair is frizz free and not brittle is because of the hair treatments done, can imagine without it i think it would have looked like a lion's mane already lol. Also the reason behind it is when your hair is in a healthy condition it allows colors to stay on longer.
Only these 2 things done to maintain my fabulous pink locks and other colors done before thus far, so those who bleach and dye their hair frequently, i would suggest to try out their ultrasonic treatment to revive your hair!
Decided to name this color "Hanami (花見)" which means Flower viewing in direct translation from Japanese and it's usually used to describe their Sakura season flower viewing festival.
Love my hair color to bits right now because it reminds me very much of Sakura flowers (Cherry Blossom) as they are starting to bloom since it's already the start of Spring in Japan, hoping that i'll get too see them for myself one day :')
Right now i am feeling so blessed to have a whole head that reminds me of spring even if i can't see the real ones haha!
Hope none of my old aunts and uncles flip out when they see me this CNY :-P
