Luxella | Japan's Beauty Stop for Malaysians
Can't believe everyday we are learning so many new things, just so excited to share with you guys this news because it's related to Japan (of course, what else), all this while I've only came across proxy sites which helps us shop from japan websites as majority of they don't ship beyond Japan sadly but nonetheless it has helped me alot in getting what i need but when it comes to beauty stuff this is where i'm not confident because you wouldn't just buy any beauty product off ebay japan or rakuten japan because first you wouldn't know if it's suitable for you unless you know the brand inside out la.
But other than that most of the time it would be a hit and miss kind of game, i'm the type of person who don't mind trying out new stuff in fact i would actually pay to explore them and so far i haven't come across any Japanese beauty product that disagreed with me la even the cheapo ones from Daiso my skin still didn't die lol.
Not many people are as adventurous as i am because why bother taking the risk when there's already a safe route right?
And this is where Luxella comes in, for the rest of you guys who don't like playing guinea pig like me, then this website would definitely help you in selecting the best product for your needs because everything sold here has been carefully sourced throughout Japan. Luxella is all about bringing you the finest skincare and cosmetics Japan's market has to offer as the brands you see listed on their website it's been carefully handpicked and tested by their owner, Kaylee whom i had the pleasure of meeting during their launching event!
Her love for Japan beauty products has built a bridge for us Malaysians so that we too can have access to them anytime.

You can now shop your Japanese beauty products without leaving Malaysia!
I need a serious hair makeover lol, it's all over the place >.<
Even Mika Tsuneyoshi from HerbEAU (Made in Japan, certified organic skincare brand from Nagasaki Japan) was there to share her knowledge about organic products!
She gave us a really good insight of why Japanese products are known for it's impeccable quality standards, everything is done with 200% effort instead of the usual 100% we humans are capable of doing. Japanese people take pride in whatever they do, so they are willing to go the extra mile to make sure everything is flawless from product all the way to it's packaging design.
Those of you who have shopped on Althea Korea would be familiar with how Luxella works because it's technically the same except they ship Japanese beauty products to your doorstep from their warehouse in Japan!
No middle man interaction, just add the items you want into your basket and click checkout, within the week (6-10 days) your items will be shipped directly to your house.

- Sugao
- Dolly Wink (Koji)
- Fairy Drops
- Kose
- Kanebo
I found their shipping fees rather reasonable actually, for express it's only RM35! But if you purchase above RM150, then shipping is free :)
Even proxy sites i shopped from costs more than that lol, gives me more reason to shop on Luxella whenever i am in need of restocking. From now on whoever asks me to help them to get beauty products from Japan, i'll just redirect them to this website instead because it's always a hassle for me to bring back extra stuff especially when i have limited luggage weight :(
Not that i don't want to help, unless i have luggage weight and space to spare and time to look for requested item or else i think it's not really fair for one to constantly bug a traveling friend to help them bring back stuff. I usually try not to ask others because i feel that my small request may seem like a burden to them, and after all they are not obliged to take up my request because it's their holiday trip.
So a tip to everyone, put yourself in the shoes on your friends who are traveling! It isn't nice to be an extra baggage in any situation, and when there is a solution for it like shopping online why not opt for that instead! After all it's much more satisfying to receive a "mysterious" package out of no where lol, shopping online is like sending gifts to yourself haha!
Dainty hand creams by Ueba Esou, a 270 year old Kyoto company that also created The Gofun nail , It's an acetone and odor free water based nail polish
If i'm not mistaken, water based nail polishes is suitable for muslim customers as it is breathable thus allowing them to perform their prayers as usual. That's actually rather good news!
I've seen in the states they came out with something similar too but it wasn't available in Malaysia but you guys can try Ueba Esou brand instead.
The colors were so pigmented and pretty!
Looks exactly like your average nail polish except it's easy to remove with normal alcohol or if you have itchy hands like me then peeling off will also do
- lkyl acrylates copolymer – stabilizer, used to increase viscosity and form a film when applied topically. It’s commonly found in moisturizers, sunscreen, cleansers and anti-aging skin care.
- Water
- Benzyl alcohol – naturally occurring and synthetic ingredient used as solvent and preservative. It is used in many natural products, and I personally sometimes use it in my homemade skincare products in very small quantities.
- Scallop shell Powder (Gofun) – Gofun is pure natural white shell fine powder. It’s a food additive and a very basic Japanese painting white pigment.
- Propylene Glycol – solvent for colours, also used to absorb extra water and maintain moisture in certain medicines, cosmetics, or food products. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has classified propylene glycol as a food additive that is “generally recognised as safe” for use in food.
- PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate – synthetic polymer produced from coconut oil-derived fatty acids. It’s a lubricant that also helps ingredients dissolve in solvents.
- Simethicone – antifoaming agent, also antiflatulent used in many medical drugs
- Glyceryl Caprylate – emollient and emulsifying agent, naturally derived from glycerin and coco-fatty acids
- Acrylates Copolymer – artificial nail builder, adhesive and viscosity -increasing agent

Okay strayed abit off from the main topic liao, one of the many reasons why i was so ecstatic about Luxella was because they actually sell my long time favorite mascara brand- Fair drops!
Seriously it's like my holy grail and if possible i would buy a few to last me the next couple of years because it's just so hard to find even in Japan drug stores :(
Got to know of this brand thanks to Tokyo Luxey but unfortunately it's one of those "premium" brands that you won't find easily since they market themselves as a niche product.
I'm serious guys since it's on Luxella now, i swear with my life it's a product worth trying and paying for because up till today my quest to finding the perfect mascara has been futile.
Thank you so much Luxella, love you guys so much for having this brand on your website *cries tears of joy*
Go try people!
No extensions just Fairy drops mascara
Can't wait to try out the other skincare and cosmetics brands listed on their site, found something interesting brands that i've never heard off. The thing about Japanese products is there is actually plenty of hidden gems in the market especially if you know where to find them and how to read the brand names that's mostly written in Kanji/ Hiragana/ Katakana. As far as i know whenever we google "recommended Japanese beauty brands" the usual list like shiseido, kanebo will pop up. But Luxella has made it their mission to unearth the beauty industry for more products to offer their Malaysian customers, sounds like a dream job no? How i wish i could do that for a living as well lol, can make use of my travels to Japan to hunt for beauty stuff!
Hope you found this post informative Japanese brands beautyholics!
And i do sincerely apologize for adding on to the temptation lol, the struggle is real yo.

Quite a number of Japanese products contains Loquat as their main ingredient lol
Chulala, an all natural Okinawan skincare and cosmetic brand, it's very popular in Japan!
Not so related to beauty products but had to post up a picture of their lovely cake, it was too beautiful that no one dared to even cut it lol
Once again congratulations Kaylee & Luxella!
Looking forward to work on more projects together soon :)
Also thank you so much for the wonderful gift, my first ever Chulala product!
Will test out this cleanser and let you guys know how well it fares for my skin, read up on it and apparently it works as a double cleanser. That means it removes not only make up but also cleans your skin well enough that you don't need to wash your face (O_O) not sure how much of it is true but i'm curious to try it now lol
